States eye taxing miles driven, not gasoline

States are exploring ways to tax drivers based on the number of miles they drive instead of how much gas they use, and Oregon has gone so far as to install GPS monitoring devices in 300 vehicles.

- Why stop at 6 months? Oil drilling should be banned permanently, unless an oil company can prove, with tests, that they can do it safely.
